When the embattled National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Comrade Adams
Oshiomhole was suspended by the High Court in March, he filed for a stay of execution of the court’s order. The implication is that he will remain as chairman and presid over the affairs of the party until judgement is delivered. That judgement was given yesterday and he was asked to stop parading himself as chairman of the party.
Now that the Appeal Court has spoken, I wont be surprised if Oshiomhole approaches the Supreme Court for another stay of execution and still remains as the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress, APC pending apex Court verdict. So, the man is only down but not out yet.
A Stay of Execution is an order by a Court to temporarily stop an action or an earlier court decision from being carried out. As it stands, Oshiomhole is still in charge .
