As the Foundation offers to train 10 teachers from Ekuku-Agbor on ICT Development
Comity of Dedicated Friends (CDF), an association of young professionals that are predominantly made up of people from Ekuku Agbor with other tribes across Nigeria, paid a thank you visit to Dr. Donald Peterson and members of his Foundation for the numerous life changing activities that he is doing in Ika Land, especially the scholarship he awarded to one of their own, Ewere Okonta.
Dr. Peterson thrilled by their visit; offered the association slots to produce two more candidates to benefit from his scholarship scheme.
Meanwhile, CDF has organized a competitive written test at Ekuku Agbor Grammar School, Ekuku Agbor, where 21 candidates participated.
The top five candidates were further subjected to an oral interview held at College of Education, Agbor.
And the first three candidates were shortlisted by CDF and their names submitted to the President and Founder of D- Peterson Foundation, Dr. Donald Peterson for his final approval.
In his usual philanthropic manners, he approved the three candidates as against the two slots he earlier promised. Thus, granting the three successful candidates scholarship from their 1st degree to their PhD.
The candidates are:
One. Joyce Nonso Ifeanyi, a 100 level Medical Student of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma. Two. Precious Ifeanyi, a ‘Jambite’ that intends to study Electrical Electronics at Delta State University. Three.Progress Okereke, also a ‘Jambite’ that intends to study Psychology at University of Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The Board of Trustee members of CDF (made up of Collins Okwuazun, Amechi Ukor, Fred Aniemeke, Nwanze Cletus, Nwachukor Amechi and Ewere Okonta made an official presentation of the successful candidates to Dr. Donald Peterson at his Orikeze Avenue residence, Ime-Obi, Agbor.
While welcoming the BOT members to his residence, he said “I must confess that I’m very thrilled by the professionalism you guys displayed in selecting these successful candidates and I look forward for more partnership with your association in the nearest future”
But to let you guys know how appreciative I am for this great job, I want members of this great association to go back once more to your community in Ekuku Agbor and select 10 teachers to be trained by D- Peterson Foundation on ICT Development at no cost to them or to your association”
He concluded by saying “Once again, I congratulate the winners of this scholarship scheme”.
