The Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP)in Ika North East Local Government Area, Hon. Chuks Agboma has enjoined party faithful to embraced his leadership with forgiveness, love, peace and a grateful heart as God has been faithful to them in all-round.
Hon. Agboma gave the admonition during his thank you/familiarization tour to Ward 1, Owa-Oyibu and Ward 10, Idumuesah in the local government.
He thanked PDP faithful in the local government for their large turnout and loyalty to the party, stating that as their party LGA chairman that he represents the interest of everyone.
Agboma while preaching peace warned that his leadership will not accept association of bitterness among one another.
Continuing, he said, “If God can always forgive us of all iniquities and preserves our lives, then who are we to be living a life of malice. Our mission here is to continue to ring the bell of peace among our party members. It is peace alone that will guarantee our success at any time. As a party, we will continually embrace what will strengthen and energize the party structure at all levels.
While calling for continued active participation of all, he disclosed that he has given a matching order to return the party to grassroots, wards and units.
He assured even spread of dividends of democracy during his tenure, disclosing that it’s going to be turn by turn (TBT).
He also enjoined party members; especially, government appointees and elected office holders, to be their brother’s keeper at any given time so as to be able to build a stronger PDP.
On his part, the PDP leader at Owa-Oyibu, Chief Lawrence Oshiegbu, appreciated his people for their support for the party, revealing that they have not failed him since their party has never recorded failure in any election. He assured the youths, women and men of his meaningful empowerment.
Also responding, the party leader of Ward 10, Idumuesah, Chief Frank Nwugo lauded their party initiative of the thank you tour, while calling on their members who for any reason has left the party to return as it’s the only party where success can be achieved.
During a chat with newsmen, the LGA Secretary of the party, Hon. Stephen Chiadika said their utmost priority is to build a stronger PDP where love for one another will continually reign.
