The apex local security group in Agbor under the auspices of Agbor Gha-Ihun, has apprehended a suspected hoodlum who gang members were alleged to have been terrorising the community with guns.
The suspect named Lucky Chukwuji, was nabbed as the gallant men invaded their hideout on Sunday January 3, 2021 at Upper Odozi Street by Osuhor Street in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area. One from Ekuku-Agbor.

He was nabbed alongside a locally made pistol recovered from the hideout just as his gang members took to their heels.
Chukwuji who confessed to the crime, explained that they are members of dreaded confraternity. He regretted his involvement in criminality, disclosing that he was sent to Agbor by his parent to learn carpentry work. He pleaded for forgiveness.
In a chat with newsmen, the chairman of the security group, Comr. Monday Kiyem, said they acted on a tip-off from one of the gang’s victim.
According to him, “The armed robbery gang on sighting us took to their heels, but luck ran out on Chukwuji who was apprehended.
“On searching the hideout, we discovered a locally made pistol in their possession”.
Speaking further, Kiyem disclosed that over ten members of the armed robbery gang lived in a one room apartment which according to a source had oppressed the landlord over his Property.
Meanwhile, Kiyem frowned at residents of the neighbourhood over their long silence on the hoodlums, calling on them to stop covering crime which according to him poses challenge in combating crime in the society.
He called on youths to shun crime and engage themselves meaningfully amidst assurance that other members of the gang still at large, would be brought to book in no distance time else they leave Agbor.
