
A fast growing youths organization of Agbor Kingdom, Agbor Youths Circle, has elected an interim executive to pilot the affairs of the group.
The election was held on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 in Agbor amidst peaceful conduct to have each of the five zones of the ancient kingdom well represented.
The exercise conducted by a pragmatic youth leader and Chairman of Agbor Children in Diaspora, Comr. Joseph Ikeke, had members presented three nominees for their zones which were unanimously adopted.
Elected members are as follows; Michael Stanley, 2nd Vice President (Emuhu zone), Anthony Abanimoro, Secretary General (Ihu-Iyase Zone), Collins Uyi, Assistant Secretary (Ihu-Ozomor), Miss Happy Ebonka, Treasurer (Ihu-Ozomor), James Onyemakonor, Financial Secretary (Ime-Obi), Louis Ojougboh, Public Relations officer (Ihu-Iyase), Stanley Oribei, Publicity Secretary (Emuhu), Miss Nkonyeasua Isele, Social Welfare, (Ime-Obi), Barr. Ehiedu Ogochukwu, Legal Adviser I and Barr. Ezewali Christopher as Legal Adviser II.
Zonal Coordinators include, Comr. Tony Egede (Ime-Obi zone), Onyekachukwu John (Ihu-Iyase zone), Akaogor Ekele (Emuhu zone), Onyinbe Godday (Ihu-Ozomor zone).
Meanwhile, office of the 1st Vice President, Provost and Zonal Coordinator were reserved for Ekuku-Agbor zone as they were yet to produce their nominees.
The elected officers sworn to an oath of office administered by the President/ Convener, Comr. Marvin Enyosa, pledging to be faithful and bear true allegiance of Agbor Youths Circle, to discharge their duties to the best of their abilities, act in accordance with the constitution of AYC and the nation, adding that they will devote themselves to the service and well-being of members of the organization and the entire people of Agbor kingdom.
Earlier in an address presented by the President/ Convener of the Youths Circle, Comr. Marvin Enyosa, he gave an overview of the group whose primary aim was to unite youths of Agbor kingdom to foster peace and development in the land.
He explained that elected members would act in an interim capacity for the period of one year while the group intensify effort in bringing all youths of the kingdom into the circle.
“While I congratulate emerging members of the AYC interim executive that will be at the frontline of the Youths Circle, I encourage you to be proactive, encouraging and ensure that you carry everybody along while we push for the betterment of Agbor youths.”
“Also to the Zone Coordinators, you are the engine room of your zones. Be fair enough to accommodate all youths and also report any unpleasant situation to the national executive for onward intervention. I wish you all the best in your selfless service to mankind,” he added.
Responding on behalf of the elected members, the 2nd vice president, Comr. Micheal Stanley, the leadership and the entire members for the finding them worthy to serve. He reassured of their commitment to duty while promising not to disappoint on their mandate.
