A coalition of youths from Agbor kingdom in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State has emerged.
The group under the auspices of Agbor Youths Circle was unveiled in a colourful ceremony held on Sunday, October 4, 2020 at Precious Land Hotel, Agbor.
It was indeed an epoch making event as youths and guests in attendance were all full of excitement.
The organization targeted at uniting Agbor youths in circle for their emancipation was formally unveiled by prominent personalities which include; Delta State Youths Directorate Officer, Comr. James Onyebadi, Chairman Delta State Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Comr. Kenneth Okorie, National representative of the NYCN, Comr. Sandra and a renowned man of God, Apostle Elisha Okenyehike well known as Baba Fire.

The President/ Convener of the youths circle, Comr. Marvin Enyosa, in his welcome address expressed gratitude to God for initiative of the youths circle which according to him was aimed at uniting youths of the prestigious Agbor kingdom for peace and development.
He explained that the organization described as apolitical was created out of his burning desire to have Agbor youths harmonize as one big family to have them refocus their mindset so as to stand as unique and potential youths that they are.
He said, “the vision of the youths circle is to bridge the gaps for positive development while it’s missions includes; “to serve as an independent and non-governmental organization building the youths of our dreams, Injecting new life into the Agbor youths to make community Impacts, making a statement to the community, Government and the world at large about the importance of Agbor youths and their ability to contribute positively, Encouraging Youth leadership and developing the next generation of community leaders, Leading an advocacy against drug abuse, cultism and social vices such as stealing, Organizing programs and activities designed to increase their social, recreational and employment skills. Encouraging young talents ( comedians, dancers, musicians, models etc) using the theory of innovation and social entrepreneurship to create resources for the community, through a youth participation lens.

Speaking further, Comr. Enyosa pointed out that Agbor youths have suffered a lot, particularly in the hands of those whom they entrusted their mandates for a better future. “We fought for them and even became pupets to some out of our beggerly disposition. But the question is, how well have they developed us? This question, I leave for your conscience to judge.
“However, this is the time for us take our place of pride. Agbor is our home and we are the pillars. Therefore, no one should undermine our strength as we unite through Agbor Youths Circle to correct those ills that have kept us underdeveloped.
“I encourage us not to be deterred with any challenges as we soldier on. Rather, remain focused, determined and fearless.
“We are peace loving people and we shall stand in unity to change the narrative amongst Agbor youths,” he added.
In a sermon titled “The Power of Unity“, the famous Baba Fire admonished the group to speak in the language signifying love and also shut their doors against Intruders who are capable of causing disunity amongst them, adding that until youths rises up to take their place, Nigeria will not be a better place.

“Where the youths refused to take their place, the pillars will never be. Even if we vote an old man again come 2023, Nigeria will still remain where it is.
“I am so vary with this group. I am already a member and would stand at the background praying for you as AYC is going to succeed,” he said.
Going forward, Baba Fire expressed his joy for the group while charging the leaders to be transparent and always ensure that they carry everybody along.
He concluded with words of prayers and formally handed Agbor Youths Circle to the hands of God.
On his part, the Delta State Chairman of National Youth Council of Nigeria, Comr. Kenneth Okorie, described the occasion as a welcome development.

He expressed delight being an advocate for youths to take over and in the same commended Comr. Enyosa for his initiative.
He warned that leadership is a difficult task as they are bound to face some challenges while putting up structure in organizing the youths.
“You must have patient, be tolerance and also humble yourself as for you to be a good leader, you must be a good follower.
“Your vision to unite youths in Agbor to speak in one voice is perfectly a good way to gain the deserved respect from those at the corridors of power. But all of you must be ready to carry the cross being championed, be committed, focused and not expect financial inducement at meetings. Rather, you all must invest your time and money as your target is the success at the end and not the beginning.
“I am strongly behind you as we advocate for the youths to take over,” Comr. Okorie said.
Also speaking, the youths Commissioner, Comr. James Onyebadi, pointed out that time is now for youths to take over as prominent personalities whose names are being heard across the country started making waves in their youthful age.
He charged the group which he described as visionary leaders not to relent as their move was a stepping stone to greater achievements.
He congratulated all members and encouraged those who are yet to identify with Agbor Youths Circle to key in.
