The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Chairman, Ika North East Local Government Area, Hon. Chuks Agborma has assured Umunede people of additional ward in his tenure.
Agborma gave the assurance while on familiarization tour to Umunede, Ward 11 and Mibiri, Ward 12 respectively, on Saturday, October 10, 2020. According to him, “I will meet with the power that be to ensure creation of additional ward for Umunede as soon as the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DESIEC) calls creation of more wards. Umunede with its populations deserves another ward”, he said
He admonished party members to remain firm and join hands with his office to move the party forward.
Agborma while calling for a team work and loyalty of members; disclosed that only the party ward chairmen have the overall power of decision making.
He appealed to all aggrieved members who left the party to return even as he assured them of democratic dividends , saying that it will be turn by turn (T.B.T).
He stated his tenure will ensure that hard work of members is rewarded.
He commended members of the party in Umunede for their large turnout.

Earlier, the PDP Chairman, Umunede, Hon. Chuks Celestine Eluehike lauded the Executive Governor of the state, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa for using their son, Hon. Anthony Elekeokwuri, the member representing Ika North East at the Delta State House of Assembly to bring development to Umunede.
While declaring that Umunede is PDP, he said, “Sincerely, we have never had it so good, all thanks to Okowa and Elekeowuri for political appointments of Umunede son and daughters, roads, hospital and schools rehabilitations, school desk distributions and many others.
“Just as Oliver Twist, we will not stop asking for more which includes creation of more wards, completion of the abandoned Umunede Ring Road project, construction of more and creation of job opportunities for our teaming unemployed graduates”.
He used the opportunity to thank and welcome Agborma, Hon. Barr. Victor Nwokolo, member representing Ika nation at the green chamber, the party Delta North Chairman, Hon. Moses Iduh, area LGA Chairman, Hon. Barr. Victor Ebonka amongst others to Umunede and assured the people’s total support for the party.

Also at Mbiri, the ward chairman, Mr. Friday Iyebor on behalf of the people had pleaded through party to the governor to come to their aid especially in construction of Mbiri farm settlement road and other deplorable accessible roads in the community.
