Arising from the proceedings of the Chief Magistrate Grade A Court in Agbor held on Tuesday September 29, 2020, a native of Akumazi Umuocha kingdom, Mr. Wilson Odafi, who is the father to the first defendant, Bright Odafi, convicted with two others for burglary and stealing of church musical equipments, has expressed satisfaction over the judgment of the court.

Mr. Odafi who said the Magistrate was fair with his judgment, explained that stealing was against his belief, and was shocked when he heard the news of his son’s arrest for stealing.
“Bright is my son, he chose to stay in Lagos with his mother who vehemently refused to return with me to Akumazi 25 years ago when I retired as a driver, all because she claimed that I was going to suffer coming back home.
“The law has taken its place and the judgment of the court serves Bright and his gang right. I never supported stealing and I forbid any of my children from engaging in such act. However, I support the judgement of the court,” he added.
Earlier, Bright Odafi (28) and his friends, Adaye Yusuf (31) and Chibuzor Temple (34) were sentenced to two years imprisonment for their crimes on a four count-charge bordering on conspiracy, felony, burglary and stealing after they were arrested in Agbor on the 28th of August, 2020.
Speaking further, Mr. Odafi commended the local security groups for standing firm in ensuring that justice was served, and in the same vein urged them to continue with their good job in securing lives and properties.
