The Chairman, Delta State Community Policing, Aliokpu, in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State Comrade Joseph Ologwa has warned his group not to intimidate people with their position as member of Delta State Community Policing.
Comrade Ologwa gave the advise in a chat with pressmen at his country-home at Aliokpu.He called on the three tiers of government, Non Governmental Organization’s (N.G.O) churches, chiefs, meaningful citizens of Aliokpu Community both those at home and diaspora to come and assist their Community Security outfit in the provision of security materials such as patrol van, communication gadgets, arms, motorcycles, amongst others.
Comrade Ologwa appealed to the three tiers of government and members of the public to see security work as a collective responsibility, while he advised people to be security conscious and report dubious characters to them.
He also charged them to be their brother’s keeper as the wrath of government will decend on trouble makers.
He also appealed to philanthropists to contribute their quota to the outfit, adding that fund is needed to run the outfit, as he warned okada riders to keep off the road once it is 9:00 pm so as to avoid embarrassment unless on emergency.
