The leadership of African Democratic Congress, ADC, Ika South Local Government Area Chapter led by Engr. Austine C. Okolie, has reacted to the standard of the ongoing construction work by Ika South Local Government Council at the new Edike Market in Agbor.
Reacting to the outcome of the down pour that caused a damage at the construction site last week Tuesday, the ADC Chairman noted that if a little downpour could bring down almost half of the work, “then they there is a serious question to answer”.
He said, “The people of Ika South should hold the council accountable if the safety of the traders is not guaranteed. ADC, as the only credible voice of the people must speak out. The era of impunity is over. ADC hereby, condem in totality the poor standard of the work being carried out by the PDP led local government council. We are using this medium to call on the council authority to as a matter of urgency pull down the entire construction work and start a new one in the next 72hours”.
