It was a failed mission for suspected hoodlums who attempted to burn down the office of the Federal Road Safety Commission, Agbor Unit Command.
The crime was committed in the wee hours of Saturday, October 24, 2020, by faceless hoodlums who could not gain entrance into the main building which also house office of Ika South Local Government Education Authority (LEA). But to record their presence, they set an impounded vehicle ablaze and went further to throw fire into the office of Head of Personnel Management of the LEA.

However, their action was foiled by near by residents that raised alarm and had the hoodlums chased away.
According to an eye witness, “it happened at about few minutes past 2am when we saw flames of fire coming from the FRSC office, and while we called for help, the hooodlums shot to twice to the air and then ran away. Meanwhile, we did our best to put off the fire thrown into the LEA’s office through the window but was unfortunate that an impounded vehicle which was set ablaze had completely burnt down.”
Speaking further, the witness feared that the actors were hoodlums allegedly sponsored to destroy public properties in Agbor following the mass destruction of government properties by violent protesters across Nigeria.
As at the time of filing this report, the hoodlums were yet to be identified.
