The Managing Director/CEO of Grace land Channels Limited, the construction firm handling the building of Boji-Boji Main Market to international standard, Pastor Nath Omoruyi has assured Ika people that the project is real and not a scam.
Pastor Omoruyi made this known while addressing newsmen on Tuesday, June 30, 2020 during the commencement of work.
According to him, “The project is for real and not a scam as many people have thought. It is not a government contract since it’s awarded under a Public-private Partnership (PPP); for this reason my company Grace land Channels Limited will provide all the money needed to execute the project. So, it won’t be a failed project since I cannot afford to put my chairman and other directors in the company through a scam where we will waste money.
“It is not a scam. We have commenced work and it is batch by batch. We are starting foundation for four malls at the same time as it is what the space provided can permit us. Without mincing words, by the end of July the first mall will stand and between now and three to four months time, the four malls will be standing. It is going to be taken speedily one mall per month as long as the rain does not disturb us.
“I also want assure Ika people that it is an international market with a beautiful shape that they would be proud of when it is completed. It will be a convenient and comfortable arena for the market men and women to trade.
“There won’t be politicization of allocation of shops. The shops are for sale, so it is first to pay, first to serve. The first person to finish the payment of the shop is given the opportunity to pick the first choice shop and this is included in the understanding we agreed and signed with the Ika North East Local Government Area Council.
“Immediately one finishes paying into our bank account and is confirmed, the person is given the store chart to choose its shop and certificate of ownership of the shop is also issued and as soon as we complete work the person takes over the shop for life.
“So, whoever is interested to own a shop in the ongoing construction shopping mall to visit our office at the site premises to obtain application form which other information to follow is contained. Intended buyers should hurry now to get their application form”, he said.
The MD/CEO Graceland Channels Limited used the opportunity to laud the Executive Governor, Senator Ifeanyi Okowa for his developmental stride which according to him speaks volume and the duo of the Executive Chairman Ika North East Local Government Area, Hon. Barr. Victor Ebonka for the approval of an international befitting market to be built Ika people and environs.
Continuing, he assured that they will never fail, while seeking for the continued cooperation and support from the traders to finish work in no distant time.
