Engage in meaningful engagement, shun Cultism -Chief Igwubor tells youths
A prominent Chief in Ileje Quarters, Umunede, in Ika North East Local Area of Delta State, Chief Ngadonye Igwubor, the Ogbini of Umunede Kingdom has advised youths within and outside Delta State to restrain from cult related activities and instead engaged in meaningful engagements that can enhance personal and societal growth.
Chief Dr Ogbini who made the appeal in his country home in Umunede in an interactive session with journalist, noted that the State government was aware that some youths had been initiated into various secret cults, which he said, called for sober reflection by the youths.
Chief Igwubor stressed that government should take step to mitigate these cult related activities which have caused numerous deaths among the youthful population, revealing that it was the reason the State government should collaborate with the State Ministry of Justice for effective implementation of criminal Justice process.
The septuagenarian therefore emphasized the need for the youths to shun cultism due to the dangers inherent in it, explaining how cultism had caused the deaths on many young people and deepening social vices in the society.
Chief Igwubor further enumerated that cultism attracted failure, armed robbery, kidnapping, drug abuse and in most cases caused death as well as disgrace to good, meaningful and hard-working parents.
He harped on the need for religious leaders to move from prosperity to mental infrastructural development in their sermons just as he implored traditional institutions to help in setting the pace for the youths to uphold societal and ethical values.
In a related development, Chief Dr Ngadonye who is a member of National Traditional Medical Practitioners, Delta State Chapter said that he has been practicing for the past 50 years ago and that he is passing the knowledge to his children in case he passes away or has grow old.
He revealed said that he specialized in the cure of barrenness, weak errection, stomach problem, diabetes, stroke, mental problem etc and has used roots and herbs to assist many people of different ailments.
He advised the state government to establish botanical gardens, tradomedical school where interested persons can go and learn Trado-Medicine.
He expressed gratitude to the Obi of Umunede, His Royal Majesty Ezenwali Agadagidi 1, and members of his family for his good leadership roles towards Umunede Kingdom, saying good things are coming during his reign.He prayed God to grant him wisdom, strengthen and resources to pilot the affairs of Umunede Kingdom to greater heights.
