It was indeed a joyful moment amidst thanksgiving to the Almighty God as members of Cherubim and Seraphim in Ika land celebrated St Michael the Arch Angel Day. The annual event which comes up every September 29 was described as a huge success.
The 2020 edition was hosted by St Michael’s Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Owanta Aliosimi in Ika North East Local Government Area Delta State. It was attended by prominent leaders of the church such as, the Most Senior Superintendent,Ika District, Apostle Oseh Samuel, Apostle Loseh David, Apostle Okoh Chinedu, Apostle Mburichen Johnson, Evangelist Otulu Patrick and Evangelist Irubor Samuel.
Speaking in an interview, the Supervising Superintendent, St Michael’s Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Owanta Alioshimi, Apostle Egun-Chukwu Nwachukwu Egun-Chukwu expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for the success of the ceremony, noting that the reason for the ceremony was to celebrate the anniversary of the holy St Michael the Arch Angel who he said fought and expelled the devil (Lucifer) from heaven(Romans 12 verse 1 to end. He described St Michael the Arch Angel as a courageous angel who humiliated the devil in heaven.
“St Michael the Arch Angel Day is celebrated by Cherubim and Seraphim on September 29 every year. For our members in Ika land, we celebrate the anniversary from one parish to the other. This year was the turn of St Michael’s Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Owanta Alioshimi. While saying that he has found fulfilment serving in God’s vineyard, Apostle Egun-Chukwu Nwachukwu Egun-Chukwu used the medium to invite members of the public to the church’s harvest thanksgiving coming up on Sunday, October 4.
