…as Dein of Agbor confers on him chieftaincy title
The act of loyalty has paid off for an ebullient community leader and humble indigene of Agbor kingdom, Chief Sunday Solomon Ibude, as he was honoured by the Agbor monarch, HRM Dr. Benjamin Ikenchuku Keagborekuzi I, the Dein of Agbor kingdom.
Chief Ibude was conferred a prestigious chieftaincy title, “Nme buozosonme Dein of Agbor”, at the Royal palace, Sunday, August 16, 2020.
The Chief who was a one-time Chief Security Officer (CSO) of Ika South Local Government Council and the youngest member of the Delta State Justice of the Peace, now holds three separate chieftaincy titles addressed as Mebozosome Dein of Agbor, Odozi-Obodo of Ejeme-Aliogor and the Agubata I of Ugbudu-akan kingdom.
He was installed an Agbor Chief alongside eight other Agbor indigenes such as Chief (Barr) Onyeaghor Obinna Jackson ( Dein Wu Ishie of Agbor kingdom), Chief Dr Phillip Okwuada, (the Amamihien Dein of Agbor), Chief Barr Chukwuma F. Ebu, (the Iwu Dein of Agbor), Chief Edison Edward, (the Elema of Oki, Agbor), Chief Hilary Agholor, (the Owuzoni yeni Dein of Agbor), Chief Oni Chukwuyem, (the Dein Nwon Ekuku-Agbor of Agbor), Chief (Mrs.) Ebeye Onyeche Theodora, (the Dein Nwon Ikpoho Agbor of Agbor), and others who the king subsequently advised to humble themselves, be transparent, assist Agbor people, not to indulge in criminal acts, correct mistakes, be friendly to other chiefs and most importantly, protect women who he (Dein) pointed as mother’s and wives.
Chief Ibude who was overwhelmed by the title, while in a parley with newsmen, thanked the Agbor monarch for the honour bestowed on him.
He described the occasion as the best day of his life and eulogized the revered Agbor king whom he also described as an outstanding and intelligent king full of wisdom.
He said, “My new title as Mebozosome Dein of Agbor, remind me of when I started serving my king whom I am very loyal to.“Dein is the best king I have ever come across since I was born. He is fierce and truthful and I will forever remain loyal to him.”
He concluded by enjoining well meaning Agbor people to embrace their king for the sustainable development of Agbor Kingdom.
