A social group called Comity of Dedicated Friends (CDF), from Ekuku Agbor, in Ika South Local Government Area, Delta State has commended the Chairman and Founder, D-PETERSON Foundation, Dr Donald Peterson. The group which is led by Mr. Ukor Amaechi, on Monday, July 6, 2020 paid Dr Peterson a courtesy visit. The reason for the visit according to the group was to appreciate the generosity of Dr Peterson to his fellow Ika people particularly, the recent scholarship award up to PhD level given to Mr. Ewere Okonta, a native of Ekuku-Agbor by Dr Donald Peterson.
The group through her spokesman and immediate past chairman, Mr. .Okwuazu Collins stressed the need why the Ika people should appreciate Dr Donald Peterson.
His words “There was a day one of our members met Dr Donald Peterson in the hospital and when they were done with the exchange of pleasantries, Dr Peterson gave him some money to pay his hospital bills.”
On his part, Mr. Ewere Okonta, a staff of College of Education, Agbor and a member of the group thanked Dr Peterson and D-Peterson foundation team for the scholarship award given to him.
Responding, Hon Andrew Agwaze, the Chief of Staff to D-Peterson foundation thanked the members of the group for coming, stating that the foundation will continue to identify with them.
In his remark, Dr Donald Peterson, thanked members of the group for finding time despite their tight schedules to pay him a visit. He pointed out that the group was the first to express appreciation on the good he did to them. He urged them to get names of two students that will be awarded scholarship by his foundation.
High point of the visit was the presentation of a commend award to Dr Donald Peterson by the group through her Chairman, Mr. Ukor Amaechi.
