Concerned Youths For Better Governance is a peer group with little political undertone. This is a group of youths who are concerned with the welfare of the masses and crave for better representation for our people.
As leaders, you are our fathers, mentors and therefore, we look up to you as we aspire to tow the great path you have towed. We plead with you our leaders and fathers on the following issues concerning the forthcoming Local Government Council elections:
Please leaders let’s give all aspirants a level playing ground to ensure fairness and better representation.
We plead that there should not be imposition of candidates or favouritism so that the best will emerge.
We implore all to keep ethnic issues away from the forthcoming Local Government Council elections because the Electoral Act of 2010 as amended and the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria states that anybody that has resided in a place for up to ten (10) years is qualified to vote and be voted for.
That if an aspirant who is an indigene of Ika and born and bred in Ika land is being asked by a few individuals not to aspire, what is then the fate of many of us who are diehard PDP faithfuls but hail from other tribes? Party history has it that a lot of persons have represented several wards in Ika South where they are not indigenes of Ika, rather they are indigenes of Edo State and they were allowed to represent successfully.
We want a representative that will give maximum regard to you our leaders, fathers, mothers and the youths.
We all know that Delta State is a PDP State and we being core PDP members, believe in the principles of the party, wanting the best for the masses.
We believe in the leadership of the party and our LGA Chairman, Hon Jude Onya and believe that you all will do the right thing at the appropriate time.
Be rest assured dear leaders that we are not trying to usurp you and will always follow your good leadership because before us, you have always been there.
God bless us all.
