No wonder an adage says when goat is eating leaves the child will be looking at his or her mother, so that when the mother goes away the child will go and be eating the leaves.
That is why when Dr. Neagbogwu Okoro, the Ogbuoshishi 1 of Owa-Alero, in Ika North East local government area of Delta State was alive practicing trado-medical works, the son Dr. Nmonye Okoro the Ogbuoshishi 2, also of Owa-Alero of the state was watching the father practicing trado-medical works.
According to Dr. Nmonye Okoro he was born into a trado-medical home where he learnt trado-medical works, on how to use roots and herbs and it’s functions, stating that since his father’s death he has been able to register with National Association of Nigeria Traditional Medicine Practitioners as a member and had been able to practice on his own, as he is specialized in the cure of stroke, diabetes, pile, barrenness, weak-erection, swelling of the body amongst others.
Dr. Ogbuoshishi said that the roots and herbs are blessed by God for human consumption, rather human should try to know it’s use and functions of roots and herbs as that is the key to a successful trado-medical practitioner.
Ogbuoshishi advised his colleagues, for any medicine they do not know or disease they can not cure, in order for them to put heads together and be a good trado-medical practitioners.
Nmonye who is the Secretary, NANTMP Idumu-Eboh Quarters Owa-Alero advised members of the association to obtain trado-medical practising license to avoid embarrassment from trado-medical board taskforce members.
