A formidable local security groups in Agbor, under the auspices of Agbor Gha-Ihun and Vigilante Group of Nigeria, has warned criminal minded persons to stay clear from Agbor area, saying that the land is not a place for crime.
The Chairman of the groups and Special Assistant to the Governor of Delta State on Security Matters, Comr. Monday Kiyem, gave the warning while reacting to the judgment of the Chief Magistrate Grade A Court in Agbor during the week.
The Court had sentenced three convicts arrested by the security groups to two separate years of imprisonment for the crime they committed.
Comr. Kiyem described the judgment as satisfactory, pointing out that the sentence of the convicts would spur his groups to be more committed to their duties.
According to him, “with this judgment, our efforts in combating crime have yielded positive results. Hence, we will remain stronger and more effective on the job.
“I want to warn persons coming to Agbor to commit crime, to beware because ‘Agbor nor be Lagos .”
Going forward, “we are happy with the judgment of the court, and most importantly appreciate Onu-Ika who supported us to gain victory at the court.
“We are also thanking all Agbor people and the entire Ika community in general that have been supporting us. We pray that God Almighty will bless them.”
