The value of life they say is not in the duration, but in the donation and contribution to humanity. This informed the large turnout of personalities who came from all walks of life within Delta State and beyond to accord their mother of church, mentor and associate a befitting burial ceremony, as the remains of Senior Deaconess Constance Nwadimunkpa Egbuchinem (Nee Ochei), was interred to mother earth on Saturday, December 12th, 2020, at her compound in Anieyime Quarters, Igbodo, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State.
In a brief exhortation during the funeral service in her honour before interment, the Guest Speaker, Pastor Jesuroboh, a Senior Minister with Christ’s Chosen Church Of God International, reminded the gathering that death is an inevitable debt which everyone must pay, hence they should continually lead a holy and righteous life, because no one knows when death would come knocking, saying that the highest gift to benefit from God is eternal salvation. Continuing, he charged everyone to be steadfast and committed to the services of God and to run away from sin in order to be saved by God, warning that there is no repentance in the grave.
Speaking further, the Man of God, eulogized the sterling qualities of the late senior deaconess whom he described as a lover of God, a humble and compassionate woman who was very committed in the works of God, mostly in the area of evangelism and in extending hands of affection to the needy and destitute that were around her.
He enjoined the children of the deceased to emulate the remarkable virtues and legacies which their mother left behind.
At the graveside before interment, Apostle Ogbomo, the Umunede Divisional Head of Christ’s Chosen Church Of God International, Prayed God to grant the soul of the departed eternal rest and to also grant her family members, friends and church members the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Deaconess Constance Nwadimunkpa Egbuchinem, was born on 11th October, 1946, to the family of Late Mr. & Mrs. Alexander Miti Ochei (both deceased), of Idumu – Ojugo in Ilabor quarters, Igbodo, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State.
She had her primary education at C.M.S. Primary School, Igbodo; even though women at her time in the community suffered non encouragement in formal basic education. After her primary education, she received some training in the sewing of textile materials as a fashion designer under the tutorship of Late Mrs. Ezeugo, at Ilabor quarters, Igbodo. A profession which she was totally committed to until her demise
She got married in 1966, to Mr. Emmanuel Chukwuyem Egbuchinem, and to the glory of God, the Union was blessed with four children and thirteen grandchildren.
Deaconess Constance Egbuchinem, knew Jesus Christ early in her life while she was still a spinster at Igbodo. However, after getting married she traveled with her husband to Lagos in 1967, from where they joined St. Joseph Chosen Church Of God; now Christ’s Chosen Church Of God, in 1973, and because of her steadfastness to the services of God, she was also baptized same year, 1973, at Maroko, Lagos.
It is worthy of note to mention, that she was fully committed to the works and services of God until she gave up the ghost. She was a God fearing wife, a committed mother who spared no attention in ensuring that her children were all raised in the fear and knowledge of the Lord. She was a disciplinarian and a no – nonsense woman when it comes to instilling discipline in children. She raised both biological and non – biological children in her home.
She was a strong pillar to her husband and ensured that he was well taken care of. She stood firmly with him through thick and thin. She always accompanied her husband to church, everywhere they went even for church programs and activities. Testimonies abound of her works of evangelism and soul winning to the Lord.
She became a Deaconess in 1981, at Christ Chosen Church Of God, Bariga Branch, in Lagos.
In 1989, She and her husband returned finally to Igbodo; through their commitment to the works of the Lord and the support of the church’s authority, they opened Christ’s Chosen Church Of God, Branch 2, at Anieyime quarters, Igbodo, in 1990; where She rose to the position of a Senior Deaconess and the Mother of Church until her glorious exit in the early hours of Sunday 18th October, 2020, after a brief illness at the age of 74 years old.
Talking about her social life, if there was one word that could define her, it was the word “Generous”. She was overwhelmingly generous. Her philosophy was that you had one life to live. It was better you lived to be remembered for the good you did. She related freely with everyone that came her way. She was also a very outspoken person, who was never intimidated by any circumstances or individual. She was bold, courageous and honest. These qualities, She displayed even until her demise.
Deaconess Constance Nwadimunkpa Egbuchinem is survived by her husband, children, grandchildren, in-laws, sisters and other relatives.
In his tribute, the eldest son, Mr. Emmanuel Ndu Egbuchinem (Jnr.), a Senior Reporter with Ika Mirror Newspaper, Agbor and the immediate past Secretary General of Igbodo Development Union (IDU) Worldwide, described his late mother as a woman of honour and integrity, a wonderful mother whose love for her children is indescribable. A Prayer warrior and an intercessor to all the members of her family.
Speaking further, he stated, “Mummy, As your first son, I want to thank you most sincerely for the love and care you showered on us. I Pray for God’s grace and mercy to uphold the virtues of peace, love and a united family that were so dear to you.
Ezinnem, a truthful and great woman you were. Good night till we meet on the resurrection day. We Pray Almighty God grant your soul eternal rest in His bosom, Amen”.
In the same vein, her first daughter, Rev. (Mrs.) Blessing Nwaedozi, in her tribute described her late mother as an outstanding Godly mother who lived to please the Lord in everything. An Apostle of love, peace and hard work who upheld her children and grandchildren in Prayers all through her life.
She Prayed the soul of her beloved mother to rest in perfect peace.

He Prayed God to bless them abundantly and grant everyone journey mercies to their various destinations.
