
The Majority leader of Ika South Legislative Arm and Councilor representing Ward 9 Constituency of Ika South Local Government Council, Hon. Lucky Iduh, has said that the Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon. Barr. Victor Okoh, favoured his constituents in Ward 9 with the on going Dein’s International Market project.
This, he said while fielding questions from newsmen at the laying of foundation stone of the ultra modern market project on Saturday, October 3, 2020.
Hon. Iduh, who described the initiative of the Council chairman in building the former CTC market to an ultra modern market as a welcome development said, the initiative favoured his Ward mostly having got the highest votes in the last election, and as such, they are happy and indeed grateful to him.
The lawmaker expressed gratitude to God for making it possible for them to witnessed the making event which according to him will not only generate huge revenue for the council, but provide job opportunity for graduates and Craftsmen who are going to be engaged in building of the market.
“I want to thank our delectable council chairman for remembering the people of Ward 9 by up grading their market. This project is massive and a welcome development which am optimistic of adding values to my people.
“I also thanked our working governor, Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, whose impact on the project was immeasurable.
“I wish to also use this medium to say a very big thank you to our Royal Majesty, The Dein of Agbor kingdom for his prayers and support to the council. We are indeed very proud of him,” he added.
Speaking further, Hon. Iduh reted the council Chairman’s performance as impressive, positing that Hon. Barr. Okoh has done so well with the lean resources of the council to embark on people’s oriented projects such as the Edike Market and the upgrade of the CTC market. He pointed out that these projects would be part of the legacies of Okoh’s government.
