It was indeed a moment of joy today at the palace of the Dein of Agbor, His Royal Majesty Dr Benjamin Ikenchuku Keagborekwuzi 1, as mother of triplets; Mrs. Anthonia Ehikwe was given a financial assistance of two hundred and fifty thousand naira (#250,000), a bag of rice and a carton of indomie noodles by the Agbor monarch. Bags of rice, cartons of indomie noodles and a cow were also distributed to select widows from different communities in Agbor.
The revered Royal Father was supported in the exercise by his new chiefs, Wilson Oni Agbobu(Eka Dein Menim of Agbor), Benjamin Ogwu (Oku Dein of Agbor), Kester Egileiwebi (Dein Ka Nma of Agbor) Oghonim Pius Akaraka Nkem (Dein Suo Ajeen of Agbor) and Collins Uwaya (Ohazama of Agbor). Among those who witnessed the brief ceremony were palace chiefs and members of Ika South Community Ladies Welfare Association.
Presenting the items before the beneficiaries on behalf of the Dein of Agbor and his new Chiefs, Chief Benjamin Ogwu said that the gesture was borne out of the desire of the King to identify and extend love to his people irrespective of class. He noted that the Royal Father loves all his subjects and will continue to identify with them. He urged the beneficiaries to be praying for the King for the overall advancement of Agbor.
The elated mother of triplets and other beneficiaries who spoke to newsmen thanked His Royal Majesty for his magnanimity. While assuring the King of their fervent prayer, they promised to join hands with him to move Agbor forward.
Members of Ika South Community Ladies Welfare Association were also given bags of rice and cartons of indomie noodles.
High points of the ceremony were offering of prayer for the Dein and taking of group photos.
