A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Delta State, and former Chairman of Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. Andrew Obiazi, has congratulated His Excellency Senator Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, the Governor of Delta State and the good people of the State, on the occasion of the 29th Anniversary Celebration of the creation of Delta State.
Hon. Obiazi, who is currently the Senior Special Assistant to the Delta State Governor, on Project Monitoring and Implementation, who recounted the situation of the state in 1991, when it was created by the Military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida, thanked God for democracy; which has greatly enhanced the growth and development of the State in all ramifications.
Hon. Andrew Obiazi, who in his congratulatory message eulogized the sterling qualities of Governor Okowa and his immense contributions to the development of the state, prayed God to grant him good health and divine wisdom to further move the state to enviable height.
According to him, “As the State celebrates 29 years, we wish the Governor more grease to his elbow, let him continue with the pace and I Pray that God will protect him, grant him good health and strengthen him to finish very well and Delta will witness the goodness of good governance which they have started seeing. Indeed, our current level of achievements as a State is worth celebrating; Honestly, I want to congratulate Deltans, especially our amiable Governor who is God sent, a Leader that is doing well for all Deltans, a Governor whose developmental strides across the state matches more than the age of the state; I wish all Deltans Happy 29 Years Anniversary Celebration”.
Continuing, he said, “I have gone round Delta State by virtue of the assignment that His Excellency gave to me and I discovered that development is taking place in virtually all the local government areas of the state; Delta is lucky to have Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, if we have Okowa like Governor, after the successful completion of his second tenure; I believe Delta State will be rated as one of the most developed states in the country”.
