An American trained Organic Chemist and Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Dr Chukwuma Nwaonicha, has congratulated the Delta State Governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and entire Deltans as the state clocked 29 years on August 27.
Nwaonicha who spoke in an interview during the week at Agbor stated that the state has experienced tremendous and positive transformation since its creation in 1991
In the words of the community leader, ” On behalf of my family, I congratulate our dear Governor, His Excellency, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa and our fellow Deltans as our great state clocked 29 years on August 27. The anniversary calls for celebration because Delta State has experienced tremendous and positive transformation since it was created on August 27, 1991. Over the years, Delta has grown to be the envy of other states in Nigeria; hence, I am congratulating Governor Okowa and entire Deltans for the feat that has been achieved thus far”.
Speaking further, Nwaonicha stated, “Delta State may not have achieved all her targeted goals at the moment but, it’s on the right track to development. It has done better since Okowa took over the leadership of the state in 2015. Laudable achievements have been recorded in different sectors of the economy. I am congratulating and also applauding Okowa for his lofty vision for the state. I urge him to go on with his SMART and prosperity agenda programmes for all Deltans. On our part as Deltans, we should double our support and prayer for Governor Okowa for the overall growth and development of our dear state.”
