Words on the marble

“It amused me watching Governors from other states brag about their presence in Edo state for the scheduled Governorship election. Ordinary, one would have asked; what is their business with the Edo state election that they have now left their primary duty of driving the Government of their various state and coming down to reside in Edo. They have become war lords in a state where they have no voting right and there is no law to checkmate, challenge and prosecute this anomaly’s?
The funny part of this is that they are being guided by the Nation’s Security details- Police, SSS, Army and so on, but the Nigerian citizens are being kidnaped, robbed and murdered miserably in many parts of the country. Yes, this is a lawless country where we are presently practicing animal democracy.
The long lasting negative effects are absurd, regrettable & worrisome”.

Therefore, the international community should intensify their efforts to help Nigeria get it right in chosen their true leaders.

“We should enjoy and take pleasure from our defeats as much as we take from our victories.
The extent and length they go to see us down shows how great we are.
Our defeats should be a lesson that we are not gods, that we are but men. That we are mortals who suffer from setbacks, betrayals… But if our fellow men see us as gods and celebrate our defeats like they’ve defeated gods, then surely we must be close to being gods. They seek schadenfreude at our shrine but we only have to give, exactly what they hate us for.
–Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, APC National leader speaking on the outcome of the September 19 Edo State Governorship elections.

–Chief Freedom Oseke, the Eleme of Obianyima
