For the very first time since I was given birth, Nigerians spoke with one voice and the sound of that voice shook the foundations of this country and moved almighty mountain SARS.
After the ongoing nationwide ENDSARS protest, the next line of action should be a nationwide protest against the bogus pay package of our lazy and sleepy legislators. The monthly take home pay and allowances for just one senator for example can pay salaries of thousands of youths if they were employed.
Politics has become a business venture for some Nigerians. They simply get in there to steal and not to serve. I have always reiterated that politics should be made less lucrative to attract genuine people who are ready to serve and not to loot. The current jombo salary structure of our political elites, especially, the lawmakers will only attract legis-looters and not legislators. The crops we have now are nothing but some elected SARS. They are the worse Yahoo Yahoo.
When a few persons justify their bogus pay package and keep deaf ears to the pains of the vulnerably unemployed but, committed youths to what they stand to gain, it is worse than Yahoo Yahoo stuff. In fact, this is basically stating that some politicians are even worse than the criminal Yahoo boys. It shows that the legislators are elected SARS more deadly than SARS and yahoo yahoo Gee boys.
