The Senior Political Adviser to the Executive Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Solomon Funkekeme, has extolled the Dein of Agbor, His Royal Majesty Dr Benjamin Ikenchuku Keagborekwuzi 1, for the the honour and reverence he parades any time he steps out as a traditional ruler. The Senior POLAD stated this during a courtesy visit to Dein Keagborekwuzi 1 at his Royal Palace at Ime-Obi, Agbor, Delta State last weekend. He was accompanied in the visit by top government functionaries among whom were: Executive Assistant to the Executive Governor of Delta State on Political Matters (Non Indigenes), Rotn.Peter Idion, Senior Special Assistant, on Political Matters, Hon. Godwin Ezedom, Senior Special Assistant, on Project Monitoring, Engr Emmanuel Mormah, Senior Special Assistant, on Political Matters, Hon Emeke Egwuanimkwu, Senior Special Assistant,on Political Matters,Hon Festus Izoje, Senior Special Assistant on Party Liaison,Hon Ralph Azeh, Special Assistant on Political Matters,Mr Felix Idehen, Senior Special Assistant on Political Matters, Comrade Hope George among others.
According to the former lawmaker, “Deltans, Nigerians and the world at large is proud of Agbor Kingdom for its unique and revered culture and traditions. Each time His Royal Majesty Dr Benjamin Ikenchuku Keagborekwuzi 1,is seeing anywhere even from far, we are always reminded of a rich Kingdom. Dein is respected because of the good way he represents the traditional institution.He has a blessed Kingdom and his sons and daughters are doing very well in all sectors of the economy. Our prayer for the King and his Kingdom is that they will continue to grow in strength.
Responding, His Royal Majesty Dr Benjamin Ikenchuku Keagborekwuzi 1 thanked Rt Hon Solomon Funkekeme for the visit. He described the Ijaw born politician as a thorough bred whose vast experience has helped to move the state forward. The Royal Father wished Funkekeme well in his political engagement.
