The people of Ali-Okpu, Community, in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, have frowned over the neglect of Ali-Okpu Community in terms of distribution of dividends of democracy across the state.
Mr Ngozichukwukwuka Peter Onyeacholem who made the assertion in a chat with journalists at his ountry home at Ali- Okpu. Since Governor Okowa’s assumption in office his community has not benefited. Administration asking why his community is marginalized in terms of socio amenities and infrastructural development.
In a related development, Onyeacholem appealed to the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa led Government to help evacuate Fulani herdsmen and their cows in Ali-Okpu.
According to him, the Fulani herdsmen are rapist, criminals and killers .
Speaking further the Vice Chairman of Ali-Okpu Community, Mr Ologwa Joseph appealed to the state government to construct roads and repair schools in the community. He also appealed that more staff should be posted to Ali-Okpu Health Center as the staff earlier posted there refused to work .
He used the opportunity to enjoin parents to groom their children in the fear of God. He used the medium to thank Hon Collins Bellow, Hon Happy Onyeachalem and General Lucky Irabor, for their good support toward the development of Ali-okpu community.
