There was an eruption of joy and happiness at Central Hospital, Agbor, the headquarters of Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, on Sunday, November,29,2020,as Hon. Patience Onyesom, fondly called Last K showed kindness to patients and new born babies at the Hospital.
In her kind gestures, she went from Ward to ward, as she gave out buckets and rice to the patients,a gesture which was described as unprecedented and first of its kind.
While speaking with the pressmen, Hon. Last K said that she has been carrying out the exercise since 2010 to support the less privileged ones.
In her words, ” I started this ten years ago and I have continued to do it yearly. I’m giving to them, not because I have much but, in my little ways to remember and assist them. It is also a command from God to emulate what Mother Theresa did in the month of November. It is good to make impact where ever we find ourselves. If you have and not your neighbours do not have, it means you are still very poor. When we give, God will bless us the more. I’m not doing it for political gain, it is my lifestyle. If I don’t do it, I will not be happy with myself”.
The former lawmaker enjoined everyone to give to the needy and less privileged ones around them, saying that it pays to give.
She also advised everyone to celebrate Christmas in their capacity, positing that it is not a do or die affair.
She therefore thanked Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, Hon.Victor Nwokolo, Hon.Festus Okoh(Chuky Dandy)and all PDP leaders for their giant strides in Ika nation, praying God to prosper them in all areas of life.
