Nneka is 23 years old and adorable. She is the first daughter of Mr. Jude, a soft spoken man in his late 40s and an okada rider. He is from Issele-Uku in Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State. A 39- year-old woman of an average height by name Jane, dark in complexion and from Ubulu-Uku in Aniocha South Local Government Area, Delta State., was co-habiting with Mr. Jude and had six children for him, yet, her dowry has not been paid. Her people had pressurized Mr Jude severally to come and pay Jane’s dowry even issued him the marriage list.Mr Jude was yet to respond.
Nneka finished her secondary school and since there was no money to further her education, she started working as a fuel attendant in one of the filling stations at Issele-Uku.
Before Covid-19, around November 2019, a young handsome man in his late 20s drove into the filling station to purchase fuel and Nneka was at the service pump dispensing fuel. The young man was captivated by Nneka’s features and friendly manners. He eventually had a brief discussion with Nneka and gave her his complimentary card. And before you knew it, their intimacy had grown.
Frank is from Rivers State and works with an Oil company in Port-Harcourt. Frank loves Nneka so much and his parents liked Nneka as well.
Frank and his parents came to Issele-Uku to formally meet with Nneka’s parents and to fix a date for the introduction ceremony and also to collect marriage list.
But there was a chase; Mr. Jude had to marry Jane first, before he can give out his daughter out for marriage. The family of Jane stood their ground. The situation was so serious that Nneka had to phone Frank on the development. Having deliberated on the matter and for the sake of Nneka, he immediately wades into the issue. He gave Mr. Jude the amount to foot the marriage expenses of Jane, not only that Frank rushed and completed the four bedrooms flat that Mr. Jude was building which had remained at the foundation stage for a long time. He also sank a water bore-hole in the compound.
It’s like a dream come true for Mr. Jude that all these happening. What a turnaround in his life. It didn’t end there; Frank bought a sixteen seat bus for Mr. Jude which he should use to ply Agbor, Asaba and Onitsha route.
