“How do I start a story” that was the topic heading in our English language.
I was interested in this topic.
“Once upon a time” Pelumi said.
“A long time ago” Isioma answered
“Not so long ago” Amanda said.
The next was a shocker.
“Story…. story…………story…………………” that was Esther’s answer
“That is too elementary” our teacher complained
“I want to start a novel, how do I do it?”
Now, many people raised their hands
“Why is there more reaction to this?”
Because you have writers in your mist.
That was my statement, but within me.
“Life no balance” Winifred said
Our teacher shook his head
“Bang her head fell off” Jessica said
“Na the matter we dey settle, I heard the man say” Praise said
“Not so long ago I thought I had my whole life planned out; a perfect wedding…………” Chisom said.
“That was a superb opening” My teacher said in response to Chisom’s submission.
“Karma is a bitch! I never thought it would haunt me this way” Floxy said that.
On and on, people brought out different suggestions, unfortunately, it didn’t get to my turn.
As for me, starting a book can take any form since in writing a book; you have what is called “poetic license”
It can be
“Monica… Monica……”,
“And she stood up …….”.
The same way it can also start with
“How do I start a story?”
