I remain the duly appointed Chairman of Ika South

APC–Frank Izekor

Mr Frank Izekor has said that he remains the duly appointed Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC,in Ika South Local Government. Izekor who spoke in an interview with newsmen at Agbor said,
“My inauguration ceremony was done at the APC Secretariat, Km 7, along Benin-Agbor road on July 16, 2020.It was witnessed by Chieftains of the party.Unfortunately, Doris Uboh rather than support and join efforts with us to move our party forward went ahead to open her own Secretariat and inaugurated her own Chairman, Moses Ebede, a businessman who is not living in Agbor. Uboh, Ebede and their cohorts are out to destroy APC but, we are not going to allow them succeed. Members of the public should therefore discard any information announcing Moses Ebede as APC Chairman in Ika South. I am the true Chairman of the party and we will not tolerate any attempt to rubbish the image of our great party no matter how highly placed the person is. I call on APC members to remain calm and keep supporting the APC leadership in Ika South led by Barr Felix Morka and the State Chairman, Prophet Jones Erue in their relentless efforts to move APC forward.”

He further said,”I want to appreciate our party members, leaders and chieftains who have called to congratulate me since my appointment as the subtantive Chairman of APC in our LGA, Ika South. Your show of love and solidarity has been overwhelming. For me, it simply shows that you truly desire to have a party that you can really be proud of, and that we shall all have.

“Now that the leadership vacuum that precipitated a lull in political activities of the party is behind us, there is the urgent need for us to bury the past and focus on the tasks ahead of us.
“We need to urgently repostion the party for greatness, raise it to an enviable heights by immediately kick-starting activities that will put the party in an election winning mode.
“My very well respected leaders and party chieftains, permit me to remind us that we cannot achieve any meaningful greatness and recognition if elections are not won, and we cannot win elections if we continue to allow internal wrangling to hold us down. The need to put our acts together cannot be overemphasized as we will continue to harp on its importance as no house divided against itself can make any meaningful progress.

“In this regards, part of our major focus in this new dispensation will be to build a very strong and formidable party through reforms in many areas but with special attention to: one,abiding by the constitutional provisions of the party in every decision making process.Two, respecting, protecting and managing the diverse interests of our leaders and ensuring that those interest are supported to achieve positive results to the benefit of all members, provided that such interest do not affect or infringe on the right and privileges of other leaders. Three, pursuing a financially independent party through policies that will ensure that all members of the party through policies that ensure that all members of the party are given equal opportunities to the party and responsibilities of the party to members well articulated and spelt out.

This will give a sense of belonging and ownership to all members which would in turn encourage them to pursue and explore their rights and privileges in the party. Four, we shall devolve all powers of the party administrations contained in party constitution to the wards. To this end, all members of the party shall be expectd to be fully recognized from their obligation to the party from their repective wards. We shall therfore, as as one of our first major tasks embark on the reviews and updating of party membership register. Five, we shall establish and sustain good communication channels with the higher organs of the party at both the Senatorial and State levels to enable for the free flow of information. This will ensure that flow down to the LGA seamlessly and without hitches.
Continuing, he stated, “My respected leaders and chieftains, you will agree with me that to achieve all these and many more will be an uphill task, but if we can all show passion and commitment in every way possible to all the activities of the party, particularly at the ward level, we shall achieve them and even do much more.

“I want to therefore use this medium to let members of the public, especially, the party admirers who have been looking forward to a thing like this and they should identify fully with the party. In fact, they should start doing so without further delay.

“In the same vein, I want to make a very strong and passionate appeal to those who are already members of the party who for one reason or the other are still cheated or side-lined in the scheme of things to put the past behind them and join hands with the new leadership to build a very strong and virile party that can compete in any election. This new leadership shall ensure that every stakeholder are involved and carried along in every decision making process.”
