It was a joyous celebration for the family of Prophet and Rev. (Mrs.) Joseph Igbodo, the Founder of Divine Faith Evangelical Mission International; as they dedicated their handsome baby, Emmanuel Igbodo, to God.
The baby dedication service which took place on Sunday, June 21, 2020, at the Church Headquarters of Divine Faith Evangelical Mission International, located along Charles Street, Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State.
The event which featured soul lifting messages, testimonies, praises and prayer sessions; had in attendance great men of God, very important personalities, family members, in-laws, friends and well wishers, who came to felicitate with Prophet Igbodo and his family.
Speaking on the message he titled, “Dedication Of Testimony”, the celebrant, Prophet Joseph Igbodo, took his Bible reading from the books of Matthew 5:11, Mark 16:17-18 and Exodus 12:1.
Admonishing the congregation, using his life as a case study; he stated that God has filled the vacant space in his life, which according to him was his testimony. He thanked God for giving him a New Generation that will take the Ministry of God to a higher level. Continuing, he disclosed that Satan had wanted to frustrate him and destroy the Ministry of God under his care, but God in His infinite mercies came to his rescue. He likened his situation to that of a man standing at the center of the Red Sea, whom God never allowed to be killed by the wicked ones. He charged the gathering to always surrender their challenges to God, if they want to be victorious in life; explaining that when God is with an individual, He takes away problems from such a person.
Speaking further, The General Overseer, who also doubles as the Proprietor of Job Orphanage Home and the Proprietor of St. Stephen Trust Widows Home, both in Agbor; warned them not to go away from the presence of God, emphasizing that when God leaves a man, the enemy rides over such a person; hence they should be steadfast with God in order to enjoy His goodness continually all the days of their lives.
In the same vein, the Guest Speaker, Apostle Dr. Joseph Ekuma, in a brief exhortation, took his Bible reading from the books of Leviticus 12:1-8 and Luke 2:21-27. Admonishing the gathering, he referred to the day as a day of Child Presentation to God; noting that when God has destined to lift up a man, no person can alter such plan; maintaining that for any man to achieve greatness in life he must have passed through his desert. Continuing, while eulogizing the sterling qualities of Prophet Joseph Igbodo; noted that because God is with the Prophet, no evil plans against him shall succeed.
The anointing and formal dedication of Baby Emmanuel Igbodo, and prayers upon his life by Apostle Dr. Joseph Ekuma, was accompanied afterwards with beautiful song rendition by the church choir, which got everyone dancing on their toes in thanksgiving unto God for His blessings.
Invited guests, family members, in-laws and everyone present were later treated to a wonderful reception after the dedication service.
In a chat with Ika Mirror Newspaper reporter, shortly after the remarkable ceremony, Prophet Joseph Igbodo, thanked God for blessing his family with Baby Emmanuel Igbodo. He prayed God to grant his son divine protection, good health and everlasting happiness. He also appreciated everyone who graced the occasion and prayed God to bless them abundantly. He specially thanked his in-laws who came in their numbers to honour his invitation.
In the same vein, the mother of the baby, Rev. (Mrs.) Igbodo, thanked God for His wonderful gift, and prayed God to grant her baby long life and divine fulfilment all the days of his life. She also appreciated all those who came to celebrate with them, and prayed God to grant them their heart desires.
