Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ika South Chapter have begun the tour of the twelve Federal wards in the local government.
The tours commenced on Thursday, November 26 with visits to Wards 1, 2, 3 and 4.
On Saturday, November 28 was the turns of Wards 7, 8 and 9.
Speaking during the tours, the Ika South PDP Chairman, Mr. Jude Onya thanked members of the party in the local government for their immense support particularly for the executive governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa. He urged them to remain focused, loyal and committed to the party, declaring that Governor Okowa’s administration is prepared to better the lives of all Deltans.
He said that the essence of the tours was to intimate members on the good work Okowa’s government is doing and the need to continue giving Okowa all the supports he needs to finish strong in office.
The PDP tour train is to depart from the Party secretariat located at #188 Mariere Street Agbor by 9.30am each scheduled day.
The LGA Chairman, Onya charged Ward Chairmen and the Leaders of the Party to always mobilize the entire Party members to each venue in their respective Wards.
He appealed to the Party stakeholders to continue to exhibit their usual sense of unalloyed partisan commitment and see the ward tours as an opportunity to showcase the strength and popularity of the Party in the various wards in the local government.
