…Say process has been hijacked by hoodlums
The Chairman, National Youths Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Ika South Chapter Comr Christian Izegede has backed out from the ongoing protest in the local government.

Comr. Izegede in his words, advised all organized youth protesters to withdraw till further notice.
He said, “It has been notice that the aim of the peaceful protest is being diverted to robbery and extortion. Hence, anyone seen on the streets of Ika land protesting should be seen as hoodlums or strangers infiltrating our land to causes havoc which is totally unacceptable.
“Please my fellow comrades and youths, Ika Land belongs to us and our future generations. Let’s give peace a chance. The message has been passed to the appropriate authorities. We should not allow strangers and faceless individuals to demean our father land in the name of protest.”
Speaking further, Comr. Nzegede noted that Delta State Governor, Senator Dr Arthur Ifeanyi Okowa, has imposed a 48hours curfew as a result of challenges arising from the hijacked and destructive protest amidst the hardship as our people are gradually recovering from COVIC 19, pandemic.
In a similar development, the Ika South youth council Chairman had condemned the hijack of the peaceful protest in Agbor by miscreants.
He explained that the protest being a general agitation for good governance, was a legitimate demand which according to him, should receive prompt attention from appropriate quartets. Hence it was expected that all youths be modest in the conducts.
He said, “Ika youths are focused and peace loving. As we demand this positive change in our society, we must be guided not to allow this movement to be hijacked by these faceless hoodlums whose aims are mainly extortion and stealing.
“God bless you all as you comply,” Comr. Izegede added.
