It will pay you no good to peddle evil propaganda against your fellow party man — Hon. Abanimoro
By Marvin Enyosa
Political party members have been advised not to unleash venom against their fellow party man by the use of lies, deceit and propaganda.
This was issued by a stalwart of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Special Assistant to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa on Intra-Party Conflicts Management, Hon. Michael Abanimoro, in a parley with newsmen during the week.
He explained that political parties were formed as a circle to propagate good governance for the government and the people, noting that members are expected to join effort as party men, to bring the good course of their party to limelight.
Hon. Abanimoro quoted that a situation where members would not seek the good of others or chastised another, had only succeeded in frustrating the strength of that political party expected to be peace-loving.
“Our slogan in PDP is ‘Power to the People which is apt. But,we can only be able to bring this vision to bear when we, as party faithful, see the good in other colleagues and collectively build peace and rapid development.
“You must note, most importantly that It will pay you no good to peddle evil propaganda against your fellow party man. You have to live in peace and harmony and subsequently correct other people errors with love.
“PDP in Delta State is blessed with focused leader, in person of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, whose ultimate prime is to build a stronger and better Delta State. We need to help encourage him by having all structures of his political party remain peaceful,” he added.
He concluded by calling on all eligible voters for the forthcoming local government election to exercise their franchise peacefully even as he expressed optimism that PDP will clear the day in the election.
