KAS OKONTA Solidarity Support Group for OKOWA has congratulated Governor Godwin Obaseki of PDP on his RE-ELECTION as Governor of Edo State.
“We sincerely appreciate Governor Ifeanyi Okowa and Governor Nyesom Wike for their unalloyed support during the gubernatorial election. The electorate were completely convinced beyond reasonable doubt that PDP shall occupy ASO ROCK COME 2023 based on the outcome of the Edo State governorship election result”.
Meanwhile, c, also known as, Alhaji Kuwait has advised Governor Ifeanyi Okowa to see the case of Edo State gubernatorial election as an example in order for the state to experience such, adding that the ex-chairman of APC nationwide, Comrade Adams Oshomhole refused to identify with Godwin Obaseki and picked Pastor Ize-Iyamu, therefore, dumping the popular Obaseki known by the grassroots.
He advised that grassroots politicians in Delta State have to be recognized and identified.
He appealed to the governor not to belittle politicians at the grassroots level.
However, he suggested that Governor Okowa should be having meetings with the unit leaders in all states to enable him give them the spirit of belonging to the party and also know their problems periodically.
“If these meetings proceed, I believe the sky will the limit of the party, and all and sundry will support the party with all their potentials. This will add feathers to the crown of the governor,” he said.
He further said, “Work the work and chop the chop” has always been the slogan of the governor. The governor is a man of the people and the masses love him, he should not allow the people at the corridors of power to mislead his government”, he added.
He reminded the governor not to forget about the First- three names he requested from every ward for appointment, pointing out that Ward 8 in Ika South have not received the appointment appropriately.
In his words, “The first- two names were duly appointed as Executive Assistant and Senior Special Assistant, what is still happening with the third name?”
The grassroots politician stated that the party instead of improving his career removed him from the executive officers list of the ward.
“Am I no longer needed in PDP?, he asked.
He echoed that he is a proud PDP member, disclosing that he cannot leave the party except the party decides so.
In his statement, “I love PDP and I will remain in PDP because I was not forced to be in the party, I came on my own accord therefore I cannot divert from my choice.
He used the medium to appeal to the state governor to look into it with his veto power as father and leader in the state.
He advised party members not to be violent in decision making because dialogue wins it all.
