The remains of late Mrs Maria Oduje Godwin Agborhave been intered to mother earth. The matriarch of the Agbor family was buried on Thursday, October 29, at her family compound at Ekuku-Agbor, in Ika South Local Government Area, Delta State.The burial ceremony was attended by family members, friends and members of Ekuku-Agbor Community, including church members.
Late Mrs Maria Oduje Godwin Agborh was born more than 85years ago into the Ekamagule family of Idumu-Okoh Quarters in Ihogbe Community, Ime-Obi, Agbor, headquarters of Ika South Local Government Area, Delta State.
She was born and brought up at Ihogbe Community, Ime-Obi where she had her formal education.
Mama was a hardworking, disciplined and generous woman. She was a rallying point for all her family members and children. She was a very good example of the Biblical description of a virtuous woman.
Mama’s marriage to her hearthrob, Mr Godwin Agborh was a fruitful one as the marriage produced children, including grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a loving, caring and peaceful mother as she cooperated with her husband to build a very good home.
As a Christian, Mama was a devoted Catholic. She never compromised her faith and believe in God. She was before her transition to eternal glory a member of St Louis the King Catholic Church, Ekuku-Agbor.
Mama is survived by her husband and the Okpanran-Uku of Agbor-Nta Quarters, Ekuku-Agbor, Pa Godwin Agbor, her children: Warrant Officer Endurance Agborh,retd, Mrs Beatrice Afam, Mrs Matilda Acha and Mr Eluonye Friday Agbor. Also left to mourn her are grandchildren and great grandchildren.
