Strange happenings shall never end. For a man to have come in term with a woman and paid her bride price and subsequently, took her to the altar for the solemnization of their marriage which is the sealing point and climax of the bond and vows, to honeymoon with a girlfriend, is to say the least, abomination!
But come to think of it, is likely to the man married her because of her money not to love; for going back to his girlfriend on such a special time, the reason is not far fetch or is it that the girlfriend is more better in bed.
What do you say? Infact it beats me hollows!
How the cat was left out of the bag, after the brief reception at the church premises. The newly wedded couple drove home to prepare for their honeymoon. So, the man left to book for a hotel but, with a hidden ‘agenda’ to spend the honeymoon with his girlfriend.
While the wife was waiting, the husband was busy enjoying with the girlfriend in the hotel.
However, nemesis caught up with him, when his friend whom he had earlier told of the hotel where they were to spend their honeymoon called at his house to know if they had left only to see the wife in a worrisome mood.
“What is the matter and where is your husband”? The husband’s friend asked. And his wife replied “He left to book for a hotel where we are to spend the honeymoon and he is yet to return. I’m worried”
“I know the hotel, the husband’s friend told her. So, let’s go and find out”. Reaching the hotel, right there at the reception, they met him and a lady both on night wears. The rest is history.
The wife hummed home, packed few things and left for her aunt place along Okpanam Road, Asaba to pass the night and also phone her parents about the development.
Right now her husband’s family and closed friends are now making frantic efforts to resolve the matter but, his wife is insisting that her parents return the bride price. Wow!
