Manchester City’s £41million bid for Nathan Ake has been accepted by Bournemouth
The Dutchman, 25, looks set to move to the Etihad this summer despite interest from Manchester United and Chelsea. It is understood that City have reached an agreement over a transfer fee for Ake.
The deal is expected to be completed over the next few days.
Manchester United are still interested in signing him – but have not yet made an offer.
Bournemouth will now have to inform his former club Chelsea that they have accepted an offer for Ake.
The Blues will then have the chance to make a counter offer due to an agreement made when Ake joined Bournemouth from the Blues in 2017.
But Pep Guardiola is leading the race as he looks to patch up his dodgy defence this summer.
He is a long-term admirer of the versatile Dutchman – who can also fill in at full-back.The City boss feels Ake could help fill the void left by former skipper Vincent Kompany at the Etihad.
Ake has proved his potential this season despite Bournemouth being relegated.
