A middle aged man and staff of College Of Education, Agbor, Gideon Akwaran, who was declared missing two weeks ago, has been found dead.
Gideon was reported missing on May 31, 2020 when he left home and never returned.
He was said to have left home on that fateful day with a notice of going to the market along College/Uromi junction road, Agbor to buy meat. That was the last time he was seen.
His already decomposing body, was found in a bush opposite the popular Untouchable Church area along the new expressway, Agbor by members of Agbor Gha-Ihun security group who acted on the complaints of some persons who reported that unbearable odour was emanating from a particular axis of the bush.
Speaking to newsmen, the Chairman of Agbor Gha-Ihun, said, “we were called by some people who informed us that an offensive odour was coming out from a part of a bush located opposite Untouchable Church. We searched the area only to discover a decomposing body of a young man who was later identified as Gideon Akwaran.”
He observed that the handsome young man aged 32, was gruesomely murdered with blocks used on his head, adding that it was uncleared if his abductors were kidnappers or not.
However, he enjoined residents to be security conscious so that they not fall prey to the antics of evil men that have created unrest in the society.
He prayed God to grant the family of deceased the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
