The award winning Ni Ika Ri Nma Cultural Group,has opened a new office in Boji-Boji Owa, Ika North East Local Government Area, Delta State.The well attended ceremony which took place on Sunday, June 7,2020 was witnessed by dignitaries who include, Mr Julius Chukwuma who doubles as the President of the group, Mr Isioma Ogidigba, a famous Ndokwa highlife music maestro, Comrade Abraham Tukele and Mr Sunday Onwuzo(Nwandimor).
Performing the official opening of the new office,Mr Julius Chukwuma expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for making the dream of the group having a permanent office come to pass. He said he is very excited and proud of the Chief Executive Officer(CEO) of the group, Mr Felix Omoroje and his wife (Woman Leader) for their commitment and immense support.He described Felix Omoroje as a worthy son who is seriously committed to achieving positive results in all that he ventures into.He noted that the new office was an indication that the group is poised to perform better in any of her shows.
Speaking further, Mr Chukwuma disclosed that the Ni Ika Ri Nma Cultural Group has registered an indellible mark in Ika Cultural history,hence,Ika people both home and abroad should increase their patronage for the group which according to him has come serve them better. He advised members of the group to remain focused and dedicated to enable them enjoy the benefits in the future. He concluded by wishing the group well in all her engagements.
Patron of the group, Mr Sunday Owuzo Nwandinmor, also known as, Alusi Japan, in an interview said that he is very happy to be part of a project that is promoting the cultural heritage of Ika people and also creating employment for youths.He specially thanked Mr Felix Omoroje for his resolve to take the group to an enviable height. While assuring that he is going to continue his full support for the group, Owuzo charged members to be humble and give in their best for the overall benefit of everyone who has identified with them.
On his part, Comrade Theophilus Tukele expressed joy and satisfaction that Ika Land has a formidable cultural group like Ni Ika Ri Nma Cultural Group. He stated that music is life,hence, he is happy to identify with the group. He commended Mr Felix Omoroje and everyone contributing in different ways towards the growth of the group. He promised to be part of the activities of the group any time he is called upon.
The Director 1 of the group, Mr Solomon Omoroje,in his remarks thanked the CEO, Mr Felix Omoroje and his wife (Woman Leader),Mrs Dennis Omoroje, for their financial and moral support, praying that the Almighty God will continue to bless, guide and protect them. He disclosed that the group has since inception won many awards which include, Ika, Abuja and Nsukkwa Carnivals awards. He said that his group today has equipped herself with modern musical equipment and a modern office, therefore, “we are very prepared to serve our people better”.
According to Solomon Omoroje, also known as, Soul to Soul, “Ni Ika Ri Nma Cultural Group is out to help promote the rich cultural heritage of Ika people. We have since inception performed in and outside Ika Land. We have also won many awards, including the Ika, Abuja and Nsukkwa Carnivals awards.We performed greatly during the senatorial election of Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa now the executive governor of Delta State.Our dream is to be the best in Nigeria and also perform abroad.We thank everyone who has been patronizing us, we are very grateful. With the support of our CEO, Mr Felix Omoroje and his wife,we are fully prepared to dance for the world. Our booking price is affordable and there is no dull moment with us.”
He thanked everyone who honoured the group with their presence despite their busy schedules, saying,” we are indeed grateful to you all”.
