The award winning cultural group in Ika land, known as, Ni Ika Rinma Cultural Group, has unveiled plans to organize Ika Cultural Festival. The information was disclosed by the Director (1) of the group, Mr. Solomon Omorojie, also known as, Soul to Soul who led other members of the group to Ika Mirror office on Thursday, November 5.
Mr. Omorojie said, “Ni Ika Rinma Cultural Group is out to help promote the rich cultural heritage of Ika people. It has since inception lived up to the expectations of Ika people. We have performed and won many awards in Ika land and beyond. Our next plan is to organize a cultural festival soon. The proposed festival will draw its participants from all communities in Ika land, including individual cultural groups.
He said that as part of the plans to make the event a grand one, visits will be made to all Ika traditional rulers and stakeholders on cultural issues.
He stated that the festival which focuses on the unity and growth of Ika land is going to be grand as awards will be given to participants and some Ika Cultural icons.
He called on Ika people both home and abroad to get set for the event as full plans will be unveiled soon.
He appealed to well meaning Ika people to support the actualization of the proposed cultural festival when the time comes.
He thanked the Chief Executive Officer of the group and a German based businessman, Mr Felix Omorojie and other persons who are working very hard to ensure that Ni Ika Rinma Cultural Group moves forward.
