The Chairman of All Progressives Congress, APC in Ika South Local Government Area, Elder Moses Nwakor has said that the acting Executive Director, Project, Interim Management Committee, IMC of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Chief(Dr) Cairo Ojougboh is the indisputable leader of the party in the local government. Nwakor stated this while addressing members of his party at their Secretariat along Charles Street, Agbor last Friday, July 31.
According to Nwakor, “We are here to appreciate our dear and indisputable leader of APC, Ika South, Chief(Dr) Cairo Ojougboh, the acting Executive Director Project, Interim Management Committee of the Niger Delta Development Commission,NDDC. We thank God for the good work He is using Ojougboh to do for our people particularly, the palliative items sent to us recently.”
We are aware of the activities of some people in Ika South who are parading themselves as leaders and chairmen of APC.We should not believe them because they are all playing to the gallery. Ojougboh is the indefatigable and indisputable leader of All Progressives Congress, APC in Ika South Local Government Area. Any other person parading himself or herself as a leader is deceiving the public. We are the authentic APC family in Ika South and we will not allow political jobbers to deceive members of the public.”
Speaking further he stated, “We are using this opportunity to call on those who are putting sign boards and using filling stations as Secretariat to humble themselves by coming to join us, the true members and leaders of Ika South APC. We are ready to accept all persons who truly want to join us to build a stronger and better APC in our local government.”
He thanked leaders and members of the party who turned out for the meeting, urging them to remain supportive of Ojougboh and the party. He assured that APC under the leadership of Ojougboh will continue to put smiles on the faces of Ika South people.
Speaking in the same vein, a Chieftain of the party, Hon Isaac Ulebor called for a collective support for Ojougboh and APC, noting that the work Ojougboh is doing at NDDC is for the good of all Niger Delta people and Nigerians in general. We want peace and progress in Ika South APC, hence, we are calling on all members of our great party to come together and help move our party forward. We don’t want faction but unity in Ika South APC. Together, we are going to take over governance in Ika South and Delta State in general.”
He thanked all members of the party in the local government for their support, urging them to remain committed as they will not be disappointed.
Chuks Osazuwa, Ebie Clement and other members of the party who spoke during the meeting pledged total loyalty for Ojougboh and APC. They promised not to relent in their support for Ojougboh and APC.
