Group of elites coming together to promote love and unity under the auspices of One Love Family, has in a show of humanitarian support reached out to Orphanage homes in Ika communities.
The group of happy people, over the weekend visited two orphanage homes which include, Divine Orphanage home in Agbor, Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State and Victoria Okowa Orphanage home at Boji-Boji, Owa, in Ika North-East Local Government Area of Delta State, respectively.
The gesture had the group donated food items amongst others which include, cartons of noodles, cartons of biscuits, cartons of fruit juice, toiletries and clothes.
Speaking at the various orphanage homes, the association leader, Mr. Nwaeze Friday well known as Dato Reuben, expressed joy and thanksgiving to God for the initiative of One Love Family which according to him, was created out of the need to build peace, love and unity amongst the young folks.
He said membership of the association cut across Delta, Lagos, Port-harcourt, Anambra, Abuja and Adamawa States, adding that the visitation to the orphanage homes was part of the association’s mission to bringing relief and smiles to the less privileged in the society.
Recalling how One Love Family started, Nwaeze encouraged other Nigerians to approach issues with love and be involved in charity regardless of how little, beginning with their immediate environment.
He assured more support from the group and in the same vein encouraged children of the homes to hold strong to God, be creative, focus on their education and be determined to make positive impact while growing up, saying “for every little support you give to encourage the needy, there is always a heavenly reward.”
He used the medium to appreciate all members of the association for their cooperation and for being resolute to making love and peace building their hallmark.
Responding, the proprietress of the orphanage homes, on behalf of the children, thanked the team of One Love Family for their show of love and support to the orphans who were described as God’s own special people.
Climax of the event was special prayers rendered upon the association by the children and taking of group photographs.
