The Councilor representing Ward 7(Federal Ward), at the Ika South Legislative Arm, Hon Israel Obaye has congratulated the immediate past chairman, Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Ika South Local Government and Chairman, Delta State Arts Council, Hon Collins Bello, on his recent election and swearing-in as the Financial Secretary, Delta State PDP.
Hon Obaye who expressed joy over the emergence of Hon Bello as the Financial Secretary of PDP in the state executive described the development as a welcome one. He noted that Hon Bello will bring his vast political experience to bear in the discharge of his duties. He declared that Hon Bello will live up to the expectations of the party and the state governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa.
According to Obaye, “I joyfully congratulate our dear leader and the immediate past chairman, Ika South PDP, Hon Collins Bello on his election and successful swearing-in ceremony as the Financial Secretary, Delta State PDP.
“Sir, your election and inauguration as the Financial Secretary of our great party in Delta State is a well deserved one. You are a tested and trusted politician. I am happy because I know that you are going to live up to the expectations of the party and our dear governor, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa. I wish you a successful tenure in office.”
Hon Collins Bello, a PDP Chieftain from Ika South Local Government was among the thirty-eight persons elected and sworn-in on Saturday, August 8 at the Cenotaph in Asaba to serve in the executive of the Delta State PDP. He was before his recent political engagement, the immediate past chairman, Ika South PDP. His emergence as Financial Secretary of PDP in the state has been described as a round peg in a round hole.
