A member of People Democratic Party (P.D.P), Ward 8 Ejeme-Unor/Ejeme Aniogor in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, Mr. Onwusah Godday has appealed to political leaders to of the ward to reach out to every person in the ward. Mr. Onwusah who made the statement in a chat with journalists during the week said that the political system in his ward 8 is centralized.
He appealed to P.D.P Political Leaders at the State level to look into the issue so that it will not disrupt the political era in the area. He lauded the administration of Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, the road master, who has distinguished himself among the other Governors in the country. He prayed God to continue to guide the Governor and members of his cabinet
He also prayed God to grant H.R.M Obi Opune Adayere Nzemeke, the Obi of Ejeme-Unor Kingdom long life and prosperity.
Chief Ogunami urges government to address Fulani herdsmen menace
Chief Nduka Ikehi the Ogunami of Owa Kingdom in Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State has lauded the good efforts the governor and his deputy towards the development of communities in the State.
Chief Ogunami described Okowa’s tenure as a period of monumental achievements. He enumerated some of Okowa’s achievements to include renovation of primary and secondary school building of Ultra-Modern Market, construction of Roads and sinking of water bore-holes. He appealed to the governor to initiate more developmental projects in Ika Land.
Chief Ikehi speaking further called on Delta State Government to assist to address the herdsmen in the area. Chief Ogunami who is the Managing Director of De Bright Hotel, Boji-Boji, Owa appealed to the state government and traditional rulers to make urgent intervention to enable peace reign in the area, as many of the farmers are not happy with the destruction of their farm crops by the herdsmen.
“The state government knows very well that farmers feed their families with their farm crops, just as the herdsmen feed their children with their cattleā, he said.
He thanked the governor and the traditional rulers in the State for their good leadership roles in their kingdoms, urging them to keep on with the good work.
