Prophet Joseph Igbodo is the General Overseer of Divine Faith Evangelical Mission
International, Proprietor, Job Orphanage Home and Saint Stephen Trust Widows Home, all I’m Agbor, headquarters of Ika South Local Government Area, Delta State.
Prophet Joseph Igbodo hails from Ivue in Uromi, Esan Central Local Government Area of Edo State.
He was born on July 9, 1956 into the family of late Mrs. Orthohie Igbodo and Mrs. Oduake Igbodo.
Prophet Igbodo left his home town in 1979 to Agbor, where he joined his brother who was then a mobile police officer. On his arrival to Agbor, he took to teaching in 1984 at Uweifo Primary School, Ewuru as an auxiliary teacher.
In 1986, he left teaching and went into business. He was a contractor and consultant in building materials at Iregwa Street, Agbor. He was also an active politician until his calling by God in 1993 at the age of 40years.
Prophet Joseph Igbodo calling by God into the ministry was divine when God met him at the Door Mgbeken Street; Agbor. There God rent his clothes and told him that he has been chosen by Him.
Prophet Igbodo calling to fulfill the divine mandate took him to Minna in Niger State in 1994 where he spent four years under the tutorship of Apostle Samuel Agwai, the General Overseer of the Body of Christ Faith Evangelical Mission, Minna, Niger State.
After four years in Minna, God sent him back to Agbor, Delta State in 1997 to begin his ministry work. Upon his arrival to Agbor,,he started his ministry at No.11 Isedeh Street, Agbor. The growth in the population of the church led him to number 8 Charles Street, Agbor where the headquarters of the church, Divine Faith Evangelical Mission is currently located.
Upon fulfilling his Divine calling and dire need to reach humanity, God asked him to open an orphanage which led to the establishment of Job Orphanage Home at No.101 Upper Imudia Street, Agbor in 2003.
In furtherance of his calling by God’s divine mandate, he also established Saint Stephen Trust Widows Home in 2010 as demonstrated in the book of James 1:27. The religion that God our Father accepts as pure and undefiled is to look after orphans and widows.
The three arms of the ministry have brought the reality of divine life into the hearts of many both within and outside the country. The impact of his Ministry and the dire need and desire to reach mankind led him also to reach the poor, needy and the destitute.
Prophet Joseph Igbodo is a father indeed, a gem, philanthropist, an epitome of love, a man of his word and distinguished character. God has used and He is still using him greatly in His vineyard in the life of humanity. He is a great asset to our generation.
He is blessed with a wife and many children.
