Thursday, June 25, 2020, was a wonderful day of rekindled hope, for the forty widows at Alifekede community in Ika South Local Government Area of Delta State, who benefitted from the benevolence of Prophet Joseph Igbodo, when he visited and presented them with food items and toiletries.
Prophet Joseph Igbodo, the General Overseer and Senior Pastor of Divine Faith Evangelical Mission International, Agbor, in company of his pastors upon arrival to the community were welcomed with excitement, songs of praise and jubilation by the widows who were gathered at the church auditorium of Christ Chosen Church of God, Alifikede branch.
In a brief exhortation, speaking on the message he titled, “The Number One Problem In The Church Is Unbelieving Spirit”, Prophet Joseph Igbodo, took his Bible reading from the books of John 14:1-8 and Deuteronomy 28:13.
Admonishing the widows, he informed them that unbelieving spirit has crept into the church to discourage Christians that are not well grounded about the promises of God concerning their lives; he noted that some people who trusted God initially for their heart desires have fallen out of faith because of unbelieving spirit which made them to doubt the power of God in granting their request. The Prophet of God charged the widows to be committed to God for with Him is everlasting happiness and fulfillment; saying that Jesus Christ is the water of life and whosoever drink of the water shall never be in want, but the water of life which is in the person shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life; emphasizing that when they surrender all their worries and challenges to God, they and their children will enjoy God’s abundant blessings all the days of their lives.
Continuing, he informed the widows that if they shall obey the commandments of God and worship Him diligently, the Lord shall make them and their children to be the head of which they shall always be above and not beneath.
Prophet Joseph Igbodo, informed the women that the visit was a divine mission aimed at making them to have absolute belief in God and be steadfast with Him, so that they and their children will continually enjoy the goodness of God; saying that as widows, God Almighty is their husband, hence when they live a righteous life, God will continually answer their prayers whenever they call on Him; emphasizing that through their commitments in the work of God and their prayers, they will witness speedy development.
Continuing, Prophet Igbodo, who is the Proprietor of Job Orphanage Home and also the Proprietor of St. Stephen Trust Widows Home, both in Agbor, charged the widows who are yet to give their lives to God to do so immediately, for God is a great provider who is always ready to bless them and their children. He encouraged them to always pray for their children in order for them to enjoy the blessings and protection from God.
Speaking further, the Elect of God urged them to love God and desist from sin and evil activities, so that they can fully benefit from the bountiful blessings and mercy of God.
Items presented to the widows include; 4 bags of rice, 23 cartons of indomie noodles, 8 cartons of bobo fruit juice, 4 rolls of tissue paper, 4 cartons of biscuits, 4 rolls of cheese ball and 3 packets of sweet.
Prophet Igbodo in his usual manner while presenting the items informed the widows that his money was not in the items but they were provided by God, through spirited individuals and organizations; urging them to always remember him and those whom God is using to meet their needs in prayers.
Highpoint of the visit was the praise and worship session. The prayer session featured prayers for the community, the leaders of the community, Prophet Igbodo, his team, the widows and their children.
Mrs. Helen Okoh, on behalf of the widows thanked and appreciated Prophet Joseph Igbodo, for always reaching out to them and their children with food thereby rekindling their hope for a better tomorrow. She prayed God to bless and prosper him and his Ministry to higher heights in Jesus Christ Mighty Name, Amen.
Prophet Joseph Igbodo, was accompanied on the visit by Pastor Michael Ukwuoma, Pastor Austin Ikpegbu, Pastor Patrick Ojougboh, Pastor Michael Okorie and Brother Chuks Ossai.
The religious leader thanked God for using his Ministry, Job Orphanage Home and St. Stephen Trust Widows Home to touch lives; and called on kind hearted individuals and organizations to identity with the project for the greater good of humanity.
