It was a day full of joy, jubilation and celebration galore as the parish priest of St. Gregory Catholic Church, Oki, Agbor, Rev. Fr. Matthew I. Enebeli marked his seventh ordination anniversary. The church auditorium was filled to the fullest as parishioners and friends from Delta State and beyond came to celebrate with Rev Fr. Enebeli.

In an interview, the elated and fire brand Catholic Priest expressed happiness, stating that it can only be by the grace of God. He disclosed that he was the first in his class to be made parish priest and also the pioneer priest after St Gregory Catholic Church, Oki was made a parish.He noted that it is a thing of honour and joy to witness such epoch occasion.

Rev. Fr. Enebeli who started his priesthood in August 23, 2013 averred that it all came by surprise as at the time it happened, none of them could fathom it,not even his peers. He attributed the feat to the grace of God.
He further disclosed that he has been a parish priest for four years.He thanked the good people of Oki for their hospitality, love and support.
Continuing, he gave accolades to the governor of Delta State, Senator Dr Ifeanyi Okowa for the good work he has been doing in the area of road construction.

“Initially, when I came to Oki there was no good road, no network but, we thank God today, we are seeing series of improvements”, he said.
In his words, “we sank water bole hole in father’s house, we fenced the father’s house and put tiles everywhere in father’s house.We carried out regular maintenance of St Gregory Primary School, Oki.We take good care of it by clearing the weeds”, he added.

“Also, in 2018, great men of God, including Rev Fr.Mario Dibie were invited to pray for sons and daughters of Oki.
He used the medium to specially thanked late Sir Tony Obuh, Hon. Patience Onyesom, also known as, Last Kobo, Paul Eluhaiwe, Anita Omoile and others for their immense contributions.

He prayed God to continue to shine his light on Oki and His favour upon them. He also prayed for the government of Delta State, stating that God should continue to sustain Gov. Okowa and all those piloting the affairs of the state with him.

To Nigeria, he prayed God to grant her peace against insurgency and blood sucking agents’.
He thanked all those who came from far and near to share in his joy, as he prayed for the grace of God to continue to reign upon them.
He advised Nigerian youths to be law abiding and keep morality to a high level, be hardworking and always be prayerful, believing that tommorow they will take over the affairs of the country .He appealed to God to bless them amidst their struggle and make them great in future.

He appreciated the Holy Father, Pope Francis and the Bishop of Issele-Uku Diocese, Most Rev. Dr. Micheal Odogwu Elue who he said found him worthy to be one of his priests in the Diocese. He also thanked all those who supported and helped him in one way or the other, declaring that God will bless and grant them their heart desires.
